SYF GGFM sound module (Yamaha YM2413) for SEGA Game Gear

• Experience richer sound on your SEGA Game Gear console with this SYF add-on peripheral, the "GGFM" sound module, powered by the Yamaha YM2413 FM sound synthesis chip!
• This module can work with the PSG audio hardware built-into a stock Game Gear console (PSG mixing), or independently.
• This module works ONLY with the SEGA Master System games (played on your Game Gear handheld) that have been developed to support FM sound output.
• The Yamaha YM2413 chip is very difficult to get, so only limited stock of this product is available!
• SEGA Game Gear consoles configured for single OR dual speaker audio output will work with this kit, but it is recommended to install this sound module into a console with a premium dual speaker configuration. • This FM sound module is constructed on a high quality flex PCB, making for an easier installation experience.
• Overall steps for kit installation - CLICK LINK TO FULL GUIDE ABOVE:

1. Check if solder will still flow on the Game Gear console mainboard's cartridge slot pins, and apply fresh solder and flux as needed. (Additional rosin flux can be purchased HERE)
2. Peel the adhesive strips on the back of the flex PCB to expose the adhesive pads.
3. On the front/LCD side of the Game Gear console mainboard, align the cartridge slot pins on your console with the corresponding vias/holes on the GGFM flex PCB, and reflow the cartridge slot pins with their corresponding holes (the gold vias) on the GGFM module to make a connection.
4. Follow the instructions for PSG mixing in the full guide HERE!
5. Ensure all 3 DIP switches on the GGFM module are in the ON position.
6. Installation complete - Enjoy FM sound with select Master System games on your SEGA Game Gear!
